I don't always care for the Cato Institute, but I like shit like this.
Death Bear will salve your pain.
A contract is now signed and off, so as it stands now, Lyddanistan is moving from Jackson Heights, NY to Wichita, KS. TSI! has never lived outside of NY, however she has endured the likes of Binghamton for multiple years, so I hope there is not too much of a culture shock. The kid that can talk is excited to be near her cousins, the one that cannot says, "Agaaa" which I assume is positive.
I will be the newest Urologist in Wichita, so those boys who are close, keep it in your pants.
Oh yeah, we are also having another girl due 6/14/10, near the same time as Guapo an Dr. No (aka Honeybadger). It is funny, after my son was born, I was offered a free circumcision from the group, now that TSI! is preggers again, I have had multiple offers for a free vasectomy.
Crop Killer! Fuck invasive species bru-tal-it-y!
Might there by a Body Count fan at the Oregonian?
Left New York for Tucson. Via Minneapolis through a late connecting flight. We can't go through the Minneapolis airport without running, seems like. With the Pregnant Girl along, we said "fuck it" and waiting for the passenger cart. It came.
My dad looks good. So do sister and nephews.
Flew to Kansas. Through Denver. Long layover this time.
Dad-in-law looks good. KU basketball doesn't.
Flew from Wichita to Dallas. Connecting flight was late. Unfortunately, late enough to allow a storm to move over our final destination of Atlanta. We circle for an hour, run low on fuel, land in Birmingham and wait three hours for fuel truck. A very uncomfortably Honey Badger almost faints. Good times.
Two more cities, five more airports to go.
Slate purchases an ad on Fox News for a hundred dollars.
The sports page in today's WSJ had a large photo of Chris Merriewether and Denis Clemente. In other news, the WSJ has a sports page.
i'v set up a tournament challenge group for norlos over at ESPN. the password is norlos.
Short version: The Browns are moving to Columbus, Ohio in April.
Long version: E was accepted at Ohio State med school. We put our house on the market last week and it sold almost immediately. Well, there's a signed contract at least - we still have to do inspections and stuff, so things are not 100% final yet, but very close. The new owners need to move before the end of April, so... so are we. We're making plans for a family move to Columbus. It's going to be a very interesting several weeks between now and then. Wish us luck!
Google Maps has now added bicycle directions. Right now it's OK, but not perfect. On my commute it sends you down Fulton in Brooklyn. I only know one person who uses Fulton with it's two-way traffic and busses. Most cut towards the bridge on Dekalb, Myrtle or Flushing.
Manhattan is closer to my actual route, but it uses Broome between Chrystie and the Bowery (cobblestones!) and sticks too long on Park Avenue South (potholes and bad pavement!)
Everyone else has a music video to post, so now it's my turn.
The wooden facial expressions!
The high-power dance moves!
The "this is my impression of a human laughing"... thing.
Forgettable? No. Regrettable? Yes.
