ThinMan featured MapMyRun on Pedomobility and it rocks. I could have sworn my morning bike ride was three miles at most. Five? So I get 10 miles a day when I bike to work.
Suddenly, I feel all healthy, so I’m to go drink a beer.

What I don't like about Map My Run is that it takes a long time to actually map out the routes that I take. With Google Maps, I'm able to get directions someplace and then click "avoid highways" to get a fast automated route that gives me a pretty good idea of the distance.
With Map My Run, I clicked follow roads, and it sent me through the Battery Tunnel. I didn't see anyway to immediately turn off highways so that I had a rough approximation of my route. Then, when I tried mapping my route manually, it didn't let me do some things. For example it didn't let me go down Great Jones street. Yes, it's a one way street, but I wanted to go with traffic. Secondly, it didn't let me head all the way up 6th Ave from w 3rd to w 42nd. It kept sending me over to 8th ave. All in all, I found it annoying enough that I'll stick with Google Maps.
Plus there's a discrepancy in mileage between the two. The google Maps mileage (for the route that followed my route to work exactly) was 7.5 miles. The Map My Run mileage (after I had to manually drag the point all the way up 6th ave, something google did automatically) was 8.38. If forced to choose, I'd guess Google is right.
