Apparently the writer of The New York Times’ Boldface Names has chosen my time out of the country to hang up her hat. Salon gives her well-deserved props. I will pick up my Times a little less joyfully now.

Joyce also wrote My Breast, an account of her bout with breast cancer, the TV movie version of which possibly gave Meredith Baxter Birney her last job in entertainment.
