Chillin’ At Moammar’s Pad

Moammar Gadhafi's pad... chillin'

Some say Keith Richards is party animal El Numero Uno. Others might argue that Don Francisco, international playboy and acclaimed host of Univision’s “Sabado Gigante”, knows how to charm a babe and shake a Martini.

But no one knows how to knock back with a lady and a tall one like Moammar, as the above CNN still shows.

I am not really sure what turned old moammar around. About 10 years ago, he seemed to have changed his mind on how his country should be run, turned it into a service industry, and now is apparently one of the hippest places to hang in the Mideast. I Qatar friend of mine has been there a number of times, and I trying to convince me to go back with him. It seems to that Gadhafi was trying to get back into American good graces for the last 5-6 years or so. Fear? I am not so sure, rather maybe a feeling of inevitability, or maybe he just became a hippy and wanted to spread the love.

Did anyone read the NYT magazine profile of Mommar from this summer (I think?). I seem to remember some very funny exchanges between Mommar and a 19 year old baeuty pageant contestant.

Republican spin: Reagan is responsible for any improvement in Libya. None of this would have been possible without Operation El Dorado Canyon.
